Property Development Fund Could Help with Plant Hire Recruitment in Wales

Plant hire recruitment in Wales could receive a boost thanks to a £10 million influx of financing through the newly established Property Development Fund.

The fund has been set up to help support small construction firms in Wales as the industry begins to ‘turn a corner’ following the recent turbulent economic times.

Its creation has been welcomed by the Federation of Master Builders, who say it is “brilliant news” that helps to assuage members’ concerns about burdensome regulations in Wales.

Ifan Glyn, a spokesman for FMB Cymru, says: “A quarter of FMB member firms around the UK have lost business opportunities or had to abandon plans for growth or investment because they were unable to raise the necessary funds from the bank, so we are pleased this new fund is seeking to tackle a very real problem.”

The fund should mean it is easier for construction firms to win contracts, or to pursue their own expansion plans, without being held back by concerns about financing their operations and growth.

In turn, that has positive implications for plant hire recruitment in Wales, and for companies that serve the Welsh market, as it should mean more funds and more opportunities not only within the construction segment itself, but throughout associated supply chains too.
