Health & Safety Auditor (1987)
Description
Working for a national plant hire company, we are looking for an experienced SHEQ auditor / manager, based in Northern England looking after 13 depots from the Midlands up into Scotland. Tasked with driving continual improvement and compliance within Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards, you will be conducting quarterly audits on all of the depots within your remit. We need someone who is able to plan and prioritise, communicates clearly and effectively both in person and over the phone, forming positive working relationships with colleagues. Ideally you will be qualified to NEBOSH or equivalent. Due to the nature of the role there will be extensive travel and nights away from home.
Key Responsibilities
As Health & Safety Auditor - Plant Hire, your duties will include:
- Ensure understanding and awareness of SHEQ policies and regulations within the region
- Where standards are not being met, make the required changes and ensure adoption
- Assist in investigating and reporting of incidents, near misses and accidents
- Ensure staff compliance with Quality & Environmental procedures
- Audit each location a minimum of 4 times per year
General:
- Undertake alternative duties, as and when required
- Attend one to one, regional and company meetings
- Attend training and refresher courses as required
- Assist in the completion of client tender documentation
Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Health & Safety Auditor - Plant Hire role will have:
- Demonstrate experience of SHEQ auditing across multiple locations
- NEBOSH qualified
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO policies
- Ability to organise, prioritise under pressure and use own initiative
- Build and develop effective working relationships
- Take responsibility, committed to delivering results
