Industry Calls for Push on Tool Hire Recruitment

Young people entering jobs in tool hire might be surprised by just how much they are valued by those in the construction industry, following the news that the sector is calling for a push on tool hire recruitment in the immediate future.

Hire Association Europe have teamed up with JCB to do just that, with a campaign centred on raising awareness of tool hire recruitment and the possibilities offered by working in the industry.

Future Hirers launches officially on July 14th at JCB in Staffordshire, and is particularly aimed at young people – aged 18 to 30 – and the need to bring young talent into jobs in tool hire.

Graham Arundell, managing director of HAE, said: “So many of our members have raised the need to attract new entrants to the sector and retain the next generation.

“This work complements the push to identify apprenticeship opportunities and related initiatives.”

Future Hirers recognises that there are several important elements to attracting young people into tool hire jobs.

These include wider recognition of the opportunities put forward by the industry itself; a focus on skills, and on developing the skills of young people working in tool hire jobs; and ensuring new talent is attracted into the sector in preparation for the next generation of tool hire recruitment.
